User Permissions for Service Providers

Learn about user permissions for Solution Provider Portal.

Service provider account administrators can manage user permissions to grant controlled account access to their business employees without compromising their account security or seller data.

Service provider account administrators can assign specific roles and permissions. These roles are tailored to the employee's responsibilities. This permission structure allows businesses to effectively delegate tasks while protecting critical account functions and maintaining compliance with Amazon's security protocols.

Account administrators can monitor user activity, adjust permission levels as needed, and revoke access at any time.

The specific actions that a service provider employee can take depend on the permission levels set by the account administrator and their service agreement. Examples of Solution Provider Portal user permissions include access to:

  • View, View & Edit, and Admin permissions on service categories:
    • View: Users with this permission can only see information within the designated sections of the Seller Central account. They can't make any changes or perform actions. This level is suitable for roles that require data observation without the need to interact or modify content.
    • View & Edit: This permission allows users to both view and modify information in specific areas of the account. For example, a user with View & Edit access to inventory can update product listings, adjust stock quantities, and manage pricing. However, they can't alter user permissions or access sensitive account settings.
    • Admin: Users with this permission have comprehensive access, including the ability to manage other users' permissions, modify account settings, and oversee all aspects of the Seller Central account. They can perform high-level administrative tasks, such as adding or removing users, changing banking details, and configuring tax settings. It's essential to assign this role cautiously due to its extensive control over the account.
